Our Story

At RIP Whistle, we believe better athletes are built through better feedback. Too often, training relies on guesswork—speed, mechanics, and power that are felt but never truly measured in real time.

We set out to change that.

The idea began with Taylor Brooks, a lifelong lacrosse player turned coach, who saw the need for a simple way to give athletes immediate, audible feedback during training. That idea became the foundation for what would eventually become the RIP Whistle.

Last summer, Taylor shared his concept with Larry Moreau while Larry’s son, Brantley, was participating in a lacrosse summer program in Cypress, Texas. At the time, Larry had just gotten a 3D printer—and what started as a conversation quickly turned into a mission.

Through dozens of iterations, testing, and refinement—36 prototypes later—the first working RIP Whistle was born. Brantley, an 11-year-old developing lacrosse player, played an active role in testing and helping shape the design along the way.

Patent pending, RIP Whistle is built on a scalable design that can be adapted across sports involving stick-based swinging mechanics, such as lacrosse, baseball, and hockey—turning every rep into instant feedback and measurable improvement.

Rooted in our philosophy—Refine. Improve. Perform.—we design tools that help athletes unlock progress with every swing.

This is more than a product. It’s a training standard.
